Failure to notify us in advance of your inability to keep an appointment will result in a letter being sent to you to inform you of the missed visit, and may result in a charge for the missed visit. You may call (207) 721-8333 anytime after 7:30 am.
Same-day sick visits
Our office can always schedule a same-day sick visit for your child. There are times of the year when we are particularly busy due to the various illnesses that typically make the rounds when children are back at school, so we ask for your understanding if we cannot always give you the appointment time, or the provider you would prefer.
Well Child Checks
Children are seen for Well Child Checks according to the following schedule:
- Newborn visit 2 to 3 days post discharge
- 1 month
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 12 months
- 15 months
- 18 months
- 2 years
- then yearly.
When bringing in your baby for a Newborn visit, it would be advisable for you to schedule the 1-month and 2-month Well Child Checks at the same time. This way you will be assured dates and times that work best for you, and will ensure that your baby stays on track for Well Child visits and immunizations.
In fact, it is advisable to schedule all Well Child Checks (for children up to 15 months) when you are in our office for the prior Well Child Check (e.g. The 12-month visit should be made when your child comes in for his or her 9-month visit).
We will always try to schedule your child with the provider of your choice. Your chances of seeing the provider of your choice are more likely if you schedule your child’s Well Child Check well in advance.
Please call our office at (207) 721-8333 before going to the hospital or to a walk-in clinic. In the emergency room and walk in clinic, your child will not see a pediatrician. Most illnesses and injury situations can be handled here in the familiar environment of our office, with pediatricians who know your child, and/or are experts in the care of infants and children.
